Trees And Shrubs

A. For Planting Trees and Shrubs: Dig a hole at least 6” larger than the diameter of the root ball. Blend 1/2 Baccto Top Soil, Baccto Peat or Baccto Pre-Moist Horticultural Sphagnum with ½ soils. Pack the soil around the roots and water thoroughly. Make sure to plant the tree or shrub at the proper depth. Soil from root ball should not be covered more than 1 inch with new soil.

B. Acid loving plants such as Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Blueberries, and Gardenias prefer a pH of 4.0-5.5. This can be accomplished by adding ½ Baccto Sphagnum Peat or Baccto Pre-Moist Horticultural Sphagnum to the soil.
